how to crochet half granny square
So I just started yesterday a new easy project and I realised that till date I don't know how to make a half granny square ! weird! isn't it?
So, I started searching for the best way to make it and most of what I found is when crocheters try to make a granny triangle and wasn't quite what I was looking for.
So I made this version and hope you like it :)
Materials:
Any cotton mercerised yarn
Crochet hook: 4 MM
Written pattern:
ch4, 2 dc in the first ch from the hook. ch 2, 3 dc in the same ch from the hook again. fasten off
join the new color with a sl st.
ch3, 2dc in the same st as ch 3, (3dc, ch2,3dc) in the ch2 space, 3dc in the last st. fasten off.
join a new color.
ch3, 2 dc in the same st as ch 3, 3dc in the next space, (3dc, ch2,3dc) in the ch2 space, 3 dc in the next space, 3 dc in the last st. fasten off.
Keep repeating the last row depending on how big you want your project to be.
If you are making a shawl, you continue the same till 100 rows.
