Daisy granny square is one of those pretty patterns which you can use for any projects if you want to change from the classic granny square, it's pretty and eye catching especially if the right colors are used.
I tried this for the first time and I'm in love with it , I mostly liked the yellow/lilac, gray combination and I'm already preparing a project with it.
The written pattern is below and you can find as well the downloadable pattern if you like it better.
You can use whichever yarn you wish but since it's summer I have used a cotton yarn for this demonstration.
Materials
Abbreviations:
Ch: chain
Dc: double crochet
St: stitch
Sl ST: slip stitch
Sp: space
Incomplete dc: yarn over, insert the hook in the stitch, pull through, pull through two

Written pattern
ch4, join.
Round 1: ch1, 8 sc in the ring, join
Round 2: ch3, in the same st as ch3, make 3 incomplete dc, join all the loops together , ch2, in the next st (make 4 incomplete dc, join all the loops together, ch2) repeat() in every st till the end of the round, join on top of the first ch3. 8 petals
Round 3: change color. Make a sl knot, insert the hook with the new color in any space, ch 3, 2 dc in the same space, ch2, 3 dc in the same space( first corner created), in the next st, 3 dc, in the next sp ( 3dc, ch2, 3dc) in the next st , 3dc, in the next sp ( 3dc, ch2, 3dc), 3dc in the next sp, ( 3dc, ch2, 3dc) in the next sp, 3dc in the last sp, join into the first ch3. Fasten off.
