Easy circle into a square pattern
Granny square circle
So for the circle you can make it as big as you want provided the final stitches number of the circle is dividable by 4.
Means in this pattern what I did to get the shape of the square is, I got 32 stitches at the last round, I minus 4 that's for the corners and the left number was divided by 4 to know how many stitches to make, that's it.
Abbreviations:
ch: chain
sl st: slip stitch
st: stitch
dc: double crochet
Written Pattern
ch4, join to form a circle.
Round 1: ch3, 10 dc in the ring, join.
Round 2: Ch3, 2 dc in every st, join.
Round 3: Ch3, 2dc in the 1st st, 1 dc in the next st, repeat 2dc in the next st, 1 dc in the next st till the end of the round. join. Fasten off
You can make your circle as big as you wish, provided the number of stitches later will match the stitches for the square.
Join with a sl st in any st, ch3, 1dc in the same st as ch3, 1 st in the next 7 st, ( 2dc, ch2, 2dc) all in the next st, 1 dc in the next 7 st, ( 2dc, ch2,2dc) all in the same st, 1 dc in the next 7 st, (2dc, ch2,2dc) all in the same st, 1 dc in the next 7 st, in the beginning st make 2 dc ch2 join to the initial ch3. Fasten off.
