Crochet an Easy summer breathable hat

 This hat is made using single crochet stitch and half double crochet stitch and it is worked in spiral after the crown construction.

                                   

Materials:

Sugar and cream cotton yarn in yellow: 2 skeins

Crochet hook: 4 MM

Measurements:

24/33cm

Gauge:

10cm: 10 rows/ 13 stitches ( hdc)

Abbreviations:

Ch: chain

St: stitch

Sc: single crochet

Sl st: slip stitch

Hdc: half double crochet

Written Pattern:

Ch 2

Round 1: 6 sc in the 2nd ch from the hook, join with a sl st to the 1st sc.

Round 2: ch1, 2 sc in every st, join

Round 3: ch1, 2sc in the 1st st, sc in the next st, alternate, 2sc, 1sc, 2sc... till the end of the round, join

Round 4: ch1, 2sc in the 1st st, 1 sc in the next 2 st, repeat, 2,1,1,2,1,1 till end of the round

Round 5: ch1, 2sc in the 1st st, 1 sc in the next 3 st, repeat, 2,1,1,1,2,1,1 ,1 till end of the round

Round 6: ch1, 2sc in the 1st st, 1 sc in the next 4 st, repeat, 2,1,1,1,1,2,1,1,1,1 till end of the round

Round 7: ch1, 2sc in the 1st st, 1 sc in the next 5 st, repeat, 2,1,1,1,1,1,2,1,1,1,1,1 till end of the round

Round 8: ch1, 2sc in the 1st st, 1 sc in the next 6 st, repeat, till end of the round

Round 9: ch1, 2sc in the 1st st, 1 sc in the next 7 st, repeat, till end of the round

Round 10: ch1, 2sc in the 1st st, 1 sc in the next 8 st, repeat, till end of the round

Round 11: ch1, 2sc in the 1st st, 1 sc in the next 9 st, repeat, till end of the round

Place a stitch marker

Round 13 to 23: working in spiral, hdc in every st.

Round 24: from the last point or the stitch marker point, place 2 sc in the next st, 1 sc in the next 2 st, repeat 2sc in the next st, 1 sc in the next 2 st till the end of the round ( st marker point).

Round 25to 35: sc in every st, fasten off by a sl st.

I don't prefer to do it but you can add a row of sl st at the end to shape more the bucket hat.
