Crochet sun applique Pattern

 

The sun applique can be of any size you like provided you make your circle bigger than start working the petals, it is an easy and quick pattern to make and add to any projects

Materials

In the video I have used mercerized cotton yarn and 3 mm crochet hook, any cotton yarn is good together with the recommended hook.

Abbreviations:

Ch: chain

Sc: single crochet

Sl st: slip stitch

Hdc: half double crochet

Dc: double crochet

Tr: treble crochet

Sk: skip

Written Pattern

Ch2

Round 1: 10 sc in the 2nd ch from the hook.

Working in spiral, place a st marker

Round 2: 2sc in every st

Round 3: 2sc in the next st, 1 sc in the next one, alternate till st marker.

For the sun:

(Ch6, sl st on the 2nd ch from the hook, sc in the next ch, hdc in the next ch, dc in the next ch, tr in the next ch, sk 3 st, sl st in the next st ) repeat the same till you are back to the initial point.
