Cross stitch scrunchie crochet Pattern
This scrunchie is worked flat then stitches around the headband to form a beautiful scrunchie design different from all the basic stitches, you’ll find the video of how to make the cross stitch as well.
Materials
Kartopu cotton yarn or similar
crochet hook: 4 mm

Abbreviations
Ch: chain
St: stitch
Sl st: slip stitch
Sc: single crochet
Sk: skip
Dc: double crochet
Cross stitch: sk on stitch, make 1 dc in the next 2 st, yarn over, come back in front of the 2 dc and insert the hook at the back of the sk st and work double crochet.
Written pattern
Ch16
Row 1: sc in the 2nd ch from the hook, sc in every ch, turn.
Row 2: ch2, sk the 1st st (the one under the ch 2), dc in the next 2 sts, yarn over, go back behind the 1st skipped st , crossing in front of the 2 dc and work a dc (watch the video). Sk the next st, work 1 dc in the next 2 st, come back and work 1 dc in the skipped st, repeat till the end of the row.
Row 3: ch2, sc in every st.
Row 4: repeat row 2
Row 5: repeat row 3
Alternate between row 2 and 3 until the length required, that means every single crochet row is followed by a cross stitch row till the end or row 130.
Leaving a long thread for stitching, hold the 2 ends of the crocheted piece around the headband and start slowly stitching around it till the end and around. Fasten off.
