Houndstooth crochet shawl triangle pattern
This pattern is worked from top to bottom, from the larger side to the thinner one, so you start making a number of chains then decreasing in each row. The houndstooth stitch is easy to make as it is a repetitive row.

Notes:
The houndstooth effects is concluded by working a sc on top of a previous dc and a dc is worked on top of a previous sc throughout the project.
If you want to make the shawl larger and shorter, you’ll make more chains in the beginning and you’ll skip the st in the beginning of the row and at the end of each row.
2 rows white, followed by 1 row black throughout the work.
Written pattern
With white color, Ch 160
Row1: in the 2nd ch from the hook, work 1 sc, in the next one, dc, repeat alternatively, 1sc, 1 dc until the end of the row.
Row2: sk the 1st st, work a dc in the next st, sc in the following st, repeat the same till the end of the round ( 1dc in one st, followed by sc, in the next st).
Change to black color, simply insert the hook in the 1st st, pull the new color , ch1 and continue working.
Row 3 to row 146: repeat row 2 considering to work dc on top of the sc and sc on top of the dc.
In row 146 you’ll be left with one st only, fasten off.
