Wave stitch crochet pattern
This wave stitch blanket is very easy to make as it is a repetition of two rows throughout the work, I have explained further in the pattern how to start every row so to get the exact look of the waves with the usage of these 4 colors.

If the previous wave row is a sc, the start of the next row will be ch3, trc.
If the previous row was trc, the following row will be sc.
Abbreviations
Ch: chain
St: stitch
Sl st: slip stitch
Sc: single crochet
Hdc: half double crochet
Dc: double crochet
Trc: treble crochet
Written pattern
Ch131
Row 1: sc in the 2nd ch from the hook, sc in the next ch, hdc in the next ch, dc in the next 2 ch, trc in the next 2 ch, dc in the next 2 ch, hdc in the next ch, sc in the next 2 ch. Repeat ( sc in the next 2ch, hdc in the next ch, dc in the next 2 ch, trc in the next 2 ch, dc in the next 2 ch, hdc in the next ch, sc in the next 2 ch) till the end of the row.
With the same color
Row2: ch1, sc in the 1st st, sc in every st. Fasten off
Introduce the new color: from the last st, insert the hook, pull the new color through and continue with the next instructions:
Row3: ch3, trc in the 1st st, trc in the next st, dc in the next 2 sts, hdc in the next st, sc in the next 2 sts. Repeat ( hdc in the next st, dc in the next 2 sts, trc in the next 2 sts, dc in the next 2 sts, hdc in the next st, sc in the next 2 sts) till the end of the row.
Row4: with the same color repeat row 2
Change color
Row5: ch1, sc in the 1st st as ch1, sc in the next st, hdc in the following st, dc in the next 2 sts, trc in the next 2 sts, dc in the next 2 sts, hdc in the next st, sc in the next 2sts. Repeat ( hdc in the next st, dc in the next 2 sts, trc in the next 2 sts, dc in the next 2 sts, hdc in the next st, sc in the next 2 sts) till the end of the row.
Row 6: repeat row 2
Alternate between row 4 and 5 followed by a single crochet row every time until you reach 54 waves or 108 rows.
