Bobble stitch pillow cover pattern





This pillow is very easy to make especially when you use a bigger crochet hook which here was 8 mm. It is a double crochet at the back and bobble stitch in front, can be made in one day.

3 balls of medium worsted yarn, orange

8 mm crochet hook

Measurements

50/50 cm

Gauge

10 cm: 6 rows/ 10 sts

How to crochet the bobbles

Abbreviations

sc: single crochet

ch: chain

sl st: slip stitch

st: stitch

dc: double crochet

sps: spaces

bobble: *yarn over, insert the hook in the stitch, pull through, pull through 2, repeat * 5 times, pull through all 6 loops.

Written pattern

Ch45

Row 1: dc in the 3rd ch from the hook, dc in every ch.

Row 2: ch1, sc in the 1st st, bobble in the next st, sc in the following, bobble in the next st. Repeat: 1 bobble in the next st, sc in the following st alternatively until the end of the row.

Row 3: ch2, dc in every st.

Row 4: ch1, bobble in the 1st st, sc in the following st, repeat till the end of the row (1 bobble in one st, 1 sc in the following)

Row 5: repeat row 3.

Row 6: repeat row 2

Row 7: repeat row 3

Row 8: repeat row 4

Row 9: repeat row 3

Row 10: repeat row 2

Row 11, 13, 15, 17, 19, 21, 23, 25, 27, 29: repeat row 3

Row 12, 14, 16, 18, 20,22, 24,26, 28, 30: alternate between row 2 and 4.

In some bobble stitch rows, you will have 2 stitches left at the end of the row, sc on ce in every st.

Alternating the bobble st row is in one you start straight away with the bobble and in the next one, you start with a sc and then the bobble.

Row 31 to 60: Repeat row 3.

Fold the piece in 2 and sc both sides in the ch2 sps, insert the pillow and continue sc the bottom side. Fasten off.
