Houndstooth rectangular shawl crochet pattern
This rectangular shawl is worked from top to bottom, although the stitch looks complicated but it is one of the easiest and prettiest you can make with any project, it is simply a repetition of a single crochet and a double crochet throughout the work.

This shawl is made of 170 rows
Measurement:
47/ 192 cm
Gauge:
10 cm: 10 sts/ 10 rows
Materials:
6 medium worsted yarn ( 100 gr)
3 Burgundy
3 medium pink
7 mm crochet hook
Color chart:
1 row pink, 1 row burgundy for 7 rows, 2 rows pink, 2 rows burgundy for 50 rows. repeated for a total of 3 times. The last portion is 7 rows of 1 row pink, 1 row burgundy.
Abbreviations:
ch: chain
st: stitch
sl st: slip stitch
sc: single crochet
dc: double crochet
Note:
when you start the row with 1 sc, the last row should usually be a dc and vice versa.
whenever you work a sc in the stitch, it must be on top of a previous dc and when you work a dc on top of a previous stitch, it must be a sc.

Ch 45:
Row 1: sc in the 2nd ch from the hook, dc in the next ch. Repeat ( sc in the next ch, dc in the following ch) until the end of the row.
Row 2: change color to burgundy, ch1, sc in the 1st st ( previous dc), dc in the next st ( previous sc). Repeat ( sc in the next st, dc in the following st) till the end of the row
For the 1st 7 rows, change the color every row.
Repeat row 2 till the end of the shawl.
