The cross stitch rectangular shawl crochet pattern

This pattern is straight forward, consists of 2 rows repetition throughout  shawl consisting of single crochet row which is the base and double crochet cross stitch row. it is 142 rows total between single rochet and cross stitch.

Materials:

5 yarn balls medium worsted

dark/ bonbon pink

7 mm crochet hook

Measurements:

45/170 cm

Gauge:

10 cm: 10 rows/ 12 sts

ch: chain

sc: single crochet

sctog: single crochet together

Written pattern

Ch 54 or a multiple of 3 +1

Row1: sc in the 2nd ch from the hook, sc in every ch.

Row 2: ch2, sk the first st, 1 dc in the next 2 st, yarn over come back behind the first skipped st and work a dc ( 1st cross st worked), sk the next st, 1 dc in the next 2 st, 1 dc in the back of the skipped st, repeat till the last st. in the last 2 st, sk 1, 1dc in the last one, work back 1 dc in the skipped one.

Row3: Repeat row 1

Row 4: Repeat row 2

Alternate between row 1 and 2 till required length or row 170
