V stitch shawl crochet pattern







This shawl is perfect for winter or summer as the v stitch makes it light and quick to work similar to the granny stripes, depending on the season you can either use a thick yarn or a thinner one, whether acrylic, wool, cotton or bamboo, your choice. The shawl is made of total of 99 rows.

 Materials

 4 yarn balls

 2 dark blue, 1 light pink, 1 oat ( vanna’s choice)

 7 mm crochet hook

Abbreviations 

Ch: chain 

St: stitch 

Sc: single crochet 

V stitch: dc, ch1,dc all in one st.

 Sp: space 

Sk: skip 

Dc: double crochet 

Written pattern 

Ch61 

Row 1: sc in the 2nd ch from the hook, sc in every ch. 

Row 2: ch2, in the 1st st, make a v st, sk 2, v st in the next st. Repeat ( sk2, v st in the next st) until the end of the row. Dc in the last st.

 Row 2 to 99: ch2, v st in the ch1 sp (previous v st), v st in every previous v st until the end of the row, dc in the last st. 

Border 

With the last color, in the last st, ch1, make 2 sc in every ch2 sp from the side of the shawl working in rounds. Make 2 sc in every corner and 1 sc in every st from the v st side. Fasten off.
