Waffle stitch in rounds crochet pattern

This waffle stitch round pattern is an introduction to any project in round using the waffle stitch design. The pattern is written till round 12 and the rest is a repetition of two rounds through any project of your choice. 

Measurements 

12 rows: 15 cm 

Gauge 

10 cm: 15 sts/ 10 rows 

Materials 

Medium worsted yarn (4) 

6 mm crochet hook

 Ch: chain 

St: stitch

 Sp: space 

Dc: double crochet 

Previous: from previous row

 Fpdc: front post double crochet

 Bpdc: back post double crochet

 Sl st: slip stitch

Written pattern

Round 1: ch4, 6 dc in the 4th ch from the hook, join with a sl st to the initial ch.

Round 2: 2 fpdc in each previous dc/ st. (12 fpdc). join with a sl st.

Round 3: *1 fpdc in the previous two, 2 dc in the next st (before the next fpdc). repeat * till the end of the round.

Round 4: *1 fpdc in the previous 2, 1 bpdc in the next 2 sts. Repeat * till the end of the round, join with a sl st.

Round 5: *1 fpdc in the previous two, 2 dc in the next st (before the next fpdc). repeat * till the end of the round.

Round 6: *2 fpdc in the previous fpdc, 1 bpdc in the next 2 sts. Repeat * till the end of the round, join with a sl st.

Round 7: *1 fpdc in the previous fpdc,2 dc in the sp between the 2 fpdc, 1dc in the next 2sts ( previous bpdc). Repeat*

Round 8:  1 fpdc in the next fpdc, 1bpdc in the next 2 sts

Round 9: *2 fpdc in the next fpdc, 1 dc in the next 2 sts, 1 fpdc in the following fpdc, dc in the next 2 sts. repeat*
